PAUL HARTMANN, a global leader in medical products and services, includes brands like Sterillium disinfectant in its portfolio. Ray Sono took on the role of the Digital Lead Agency, supporting the client across a variety of digital projects, such as the relaunch of corporate content into a new URL with a new created design system in Figma.
Challenge
Extracting corporate content into new URL with speed + quality
The long-term plan was to relaunch the global HARTMANN website and create a new design system. The POC for this was to spin off the corporate content into a separate URL with a newly created design system with a selection of components. The timetable for design and implementation was quite tight.
Relaunching corporate content into new website
The project team successfully relaunched the corporate content website in just 4 months, starting from a design sprint and culminating in the technical realization of a fully redesigned design system. This included developing a prototype with a specific set of components to establish a foundational 'One Web' strategy, consolidating all web content under a unified design approach. The migration of all existing corporate content to a new domain accompanied the introduction of a new design. The component design emphasized narrative functionality, serving as the basis for an expanded library.

My role
As Design Lead I was responsible for the management of the design team, but also included highly operative work in creating components for the design system. I acted as one of the main points of contact for the client and supported the ongoing development of the digital products in an advisory capacity. Close coordination with the technical service provider was a key part of the workflow.

The client gave us a sprint to develop a new design vision. While this process, we developed possibilities that went in the direction of storytelling, brand and product.
